Just an idea - War is hell all that - things happen -
Not suggesting that this ever happend but
Could it ?
A person captured or unpopular a leader of an enemy group
The military or a private security firm of mercanaries
Strap a bomb on the captured person and push him or her into the crowd of the oppisite groups and it blows it up and of course kills that person plus the opposite sides people
News flash - Another nut blows themselves up in a failed attempt to kill US soldeirs
It may be the begining of a book I keep meaning to write
Is this a possibility ?

It really would be the perfect no questions asked execution and the perfect way to take out a few of the other tribes - or their own family
It would be the perfect crime really -
The people would know but who would believe them - It would become the perfect threat as well -
Tow the line or you will be tommorow's nut bar suicide bomber

It might be a good idea for a novel or a movie, but you'd have to do some clever writing to get around the obvious problems.
It seems kind of unlikely that you could push a guy into a crowd and blow him up without getting killed yourself. I'm assuming the guy himself doesn't have his finger on the trigger, so once you let him go he might run after you to keep you from blowing him up, because you'd blow yourself up too. Or he might scream "Hey everyone! I have a bomb! This guy here has the trigger!"
Maybe they would brainwash the 'victim' so he didn't know what he was doing or where he was going.
If you think about it, it takes quite a bit of courage and also some careful thinking to be a suicide bomber, to wait until you're in the middle of a crowd, to try not to be too obvious, etc.

Interesting indeed, but where did you get the idea? I myself have never heard of such a thing.
You know, you could add in the plot, the people who push the bomber are willing to kill the innocent people because they are living too liberally.
You know how insane fanatics are. I get fanatic Christians emailing me to warn of the bounds of hell I am going to face because I am a non-believer, just from this board! give that fanatic some power, he would probably like to wipe my atheist *** of the planet.

Hmm... maybe we should do that with some of our hand-picked Iraqi allies and they would get off their duffs and take advantage of the opportunity we have afforded them with the blood of 3000 US soldiers! The enemy might even fear us then if we are willing to do that with our 'friends'.
Doesn't sound too far-fetched... Israel used to publish who the suicide bombers were and then go bomb their family's homes, maybe you could check on these chicken-crap weak-minded 'martyrs' that kill innocents... so I don't think its necessarily true that the enemy is sending sympathsizers strapped with bombs into the fray, but instead its more than likely brainwashing, or even blackmailing.

yes and it has happened, more than we know, not all would be bombers are suicidal, some are forced in to it, their families and or tribes lives are at stake, take for instance that would be bank robber who they say blew himself up after he robbed the bank, here in America, supposedly he had a radio controlled bomb that he was being forced to carry in to the bank, you never know
