is it cool if i refer to every single one of you that's ever told a lie as a murderer?

since it apparently equates to the same thing anyway?

If all sins are considered equal, then why are only SEVEN of them considered "Deadly" (or "Mortal") sins?

Of course - they only apply if you follow "the Book", which is full of enough inconsistencies and contradictions as is...

There was a time when eating MEAT on a Friday was a Hell-worthy trespass - now it's just an excuse to sell fish and chips ;););)

Sin comes in many forms. One definition of sin is that it is that which separates us from God. Sin can be thought, word, or deed. The thought leads to the word which leads to the deed. This is what is meant by the passage "whoever hates his brother is a murderer." Then there are sins of commission-things we do, and sins of ommission-the good that we fail to do.

The essential point is that sin separates us from God and from one another. In that way, we all sin. However, humanity ranks offenses.

It equates because the price for sin is death. Big sin, small sin. white sin, etc, it all results in death. There is not one single human on the planet who has been able to avoid it. There is a distinction between sin in the sense that there is sinning against the Holy Spirit, where there is no hope for ressurrection.

god does not judge sin the way we do. he says every sin is equal in his eyes. its says so in the bible. and lying is a sin just as much as killing someone. it hurts god the exact same way. we as humans just cant grasp the fact that a murder is the same as a lie. we are too small minded i quess compared to god.

AHA! That's when the circles of hell supposedly come in... Then again according to that myth, there should in fact be more than the 7 or 8 circles of hell... Hmmm, I wonder how close to Satan's bullseye does masturbation get you?

You don't know your scripture...If you hate you have murdered, not lied. If you would open up the Bible once in a while you would have known that. 1 John 3:15

It only equates to the same thing, if un-repented, after it is repented of , it is gone forever and God will never remember it again.

the cost of sin is death. as Roman says that the wages of sin is death, but Jesus Christ came. and nothing about sin is "cool" God hates sin, but not the sinner.

I don't think all sin is equal...
People who sin are spiritually sick, some are more sick then others.
Murder, Arson, and Rape are worse things to do because they hurt people SO badly.
