It will definitely affect how companies and scouts look at you. Your best bet is to find the perfect foundation. Lancome is great and has good coverage for darker colored skin. I myself use Estee Lauder Double Wear because it totally covers my acne scars without looking fake and cakey. Revlon Colorstay Foundation is a cheaper alternative. Photographers like working with a model who has perfect skin because closeups always look great with very little or no major editing.
Try products that have hydroquinone in them for use on just your spots only.

Black Opal products (The most effective one is in a small round, glass container. it looks like gel.)

try to reduce them to invisibility coz the competition out there is stiff
do daily body scrub using NEUTROGENA DAILY SCRUB. this removes the top dead layer of skin and reveals young fresh skin. it also controls break-out of acne and black heads coz it contains siacylic acid
