We have a two year old female mini schnauzer and we just brought home from the humane society a one year old male mini schnauzer. Both have been fixed. What can I expect from my female dog? What can I do for the male dog to make things go smooth for them?

It depends on their individual temperaments of course.
One important point is to give the first dog a lot of attention, so she thinks that the arrival of the new dog is a great treat. Unless there is bloodshed, don't separate them but let them develop their own relationship. That is the only relationship that will work in the long term. If there is growling or snapping, let it go. If there is any tension, it could help to take them to a park or other place away from home, to spend some time together.
They will probably be pretty compatible; a male and a female usually are, and they are even the same breed.

i might think of that that's regular, because of the fact even theory they are the two neutered, the female nevertheless get in warmth, and the male nevertheless has his needs to mate, yet the two, the female or the male could have doggies, whether the male humps her. Your woman canines became into operated to not have littles puppies yet on the different hand your male can nevertheless bounce different woman canines devoid of having them pregnant. that's a very regular concern that they bounce eachother. because of the fact the only concern that has been taken out of your 2 canines is reproductive equipment, wich ability they can not reproduce, yet they nevertheless have regular behaviors for opposite intercourse. when I mentioned they took their reproductive equipment, i basically meant they tide their tubes interior which furnish up them from freeing the two her egg or his sperm. wish this might of helped you.

Since its a female & male they should get along. There might be some growling or showing of teeth. Dogs all have a pecking order, its natural.
