All you have to do is say that Brigham Young had 51 wives and show a picture of him with his wives and they call you a bigot.
Hey, if Brigham didn't do it we would not report it. That's fair.
Is it hate speech against George Washington if I said that he was a Planter and owned slaves? It's true.
So how does reporting the facts translate into hate speech?
If you don't sin then you don't get caught in the sin. It's a simple as that! I know that I never did anything even close to as bad as Young.

Thank you! All of your answers so far are great. I think we all agree it's because they are ignorant!
If people have stuff to hide in their closet then they had better keep it there. Otherwise, I will expose what they did and they will no-longer dwell in their lofty clouds of self-righteousness; and they shall perish from their shame. So saith me.

If all you did was state the fact that he had multiple wives then you would be stating facts.
It is all the hate-filled rhetoric that you surround it with that is hate speech.
Your last statement proves my point.

Mormonism is a militant religion. It is not open to theological debate. The pretty boys on bicycles only know a certain number of lines to tell others. When you really take them to task they get mad.
There was a good book published a while back called, "A Christian Looks at Mormonism." I forget who the author was but he went into LDS Theology and asked some really good questions.
They put up a good facade about family.

In other words, you intelligent people just believe everything you read.
Here read this:
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed......
(New Testament | Matthew 13:14 - 15)
Funny how history is perceived differently from different angles.
e.g the Opium war, Americans said they sent troops into China to protect their trade, but the Chinese see it as invasions by foreign country, infact, the British , French, were there too.
Who is right , who is wrong?
It really depends on who's history books you read.

The truth can be misleading.
Generally when people tell the facts that make their case from the angle that meets their agenda it leads people to the intended conclusion. They are telling the truth, but they are still intentionally misleading people.
Maybe it's what you're not saying that makes the words your saying appear hostile. Perhaps it's your agenda that offends people and not your words. That would explain why no one cares what you say about George Washington.

That just seems so wrong on so many levels. You may not get thru your next temple recommend interview without giggling...

You know, just because somebody in a religions history said or did something does not necessarily prove anything about that religion 150 years or so,later.
What a person must decide is this: is what they teach in harmony with what they are doing right now?
And does it make sense?
A religion, or an ideology, or a government, or anything that humans willingly put their trust in, must be reliable and truthful. And be a benefit to the adherents therein.

Also when they do get along, if you piss one off, you piss them all off,and you are still on the couch baby. Oh and do you think you can have sex 51 times a night? Cause I know if I dont get mine im one hell of a bi.........uh never mind.

First, the "hate" your speech. Simple.
Second, there are more problems with the LDS than wife collecting. Their book is the starter and who knows what is the final problem.
Finally, since they are not a true vine and are a cult many will side with them for this very reason. If they were true you would not need this question and they too would be experiencing "hate."

If it isn't something that the spin doctors or sanitizers have dealt with, then it is hate speech to them. They don't look at history as it really was
