It all depends on how big the glass is. One CUP is 8 oz. So if your glass is one cup then 8x8 is 64 oz. If your glass is 12 oz (like a can of coke) then 8x12 = 96 oz
64 oz is one half gallon (two quarts)

1 glass of water = 8 ounces
8 glasses of water = 64 ounces
Also, remember 8 ounces of water = 1 cup,
so 8 glasses of water = 8 cups

Don't stop at just 8 glasses or 64 ounces. I drink A LOT of water and when I first started (end of 2nd week) I noticed a difference in everything about me. A healthy complexion, better memory, healthy positive thoughts, more energy.
Oh and make sure you stay away from Spring water. Most of that stuff tastes gross to me. I like to stick to water that has been through at least a reverse osmosis process.

We always hear that we should be drinking 8 glasses of water everyday, but it's surprising that noone is consitant with that number.
The 8 glasses of water a day should be 8 glasses of 8oz of water everyday, making that 8 juice glass size glasses of water that you should consume a day, at a minimum. A juice glass is one of those small glasses you probably have in your cabinets.
If you need help keeping track of that much water, just think of it as having to drink at least 4 16oz bottles of water everyday, which isn't much when you think about it.
If you need help in drinking that much water a day, try this:
drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up.
Sip 2 glasses of water throughout your morning.
Drink a glass of water with your lunch.
Sip another 2 glasses of water during the afternoon.
Drink a glass of water with your dinner.
Sip another glass of water during the evening.
Before you know it, you'll have drunken 8 glasses of water during the day. Of course, during the summer, it's always recommended to drink more water since we sweat a lot more, but that's up to you.
Also, remember, listed to your body. If you start feeling like you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated. That's when you should really start drinking more.

You're probably asking this ? in regards to your daily fluid intake , right ? Every body requires different amounts of daily fluid ,which ,by the way , can be received in various forms, like fresh fruits , ice cream, tea, milk, meat , etc., etc., etc. However, plain ol' water would be the best (I flavor mine) . You can usually tell when you've had your daily quota when your urine runs clear( mine takes about 4 to 5 eight oz. glasses of fluid ). The daily quota WAS recommended at one time to be eight 8 oz. glasses ,but that has changed recently (wait and in a few days ,what I told will probably change !).

Who cares? It's a myth that you need 8 glasses of water a day for good health.
Drink when you're thirsty. If you exercise a lot, drink more.

One metric cup is 250ml
8 Metric cups is 8 x 250ml. You can do rest of the maths... but if you drink about 2 litres of water a day.. you are on target... oh and that is roughly 64 ounces by the way.
