Stifle my curiosity, please.
How long does the application process for the US Military take? Any information about other militaries is welcome.
Personally, I had to wait 9 months to get into the Australian Army, and I'm always curious how other countries do things.

Well, if a kid had a clean record, had lived in the same place for 18 years of his entire life, was smart and in good health, he could probably get through the entire process and into basic in a matter of a few weeks. Most people do take a bit longer though, mostly based on their own time schedule.

In the US army, you can be shipped out to Army basic training within a week of talking to a recruiter. That is if you have a clean record and you do not have any physical problems.

in the US, the maximum amount of time one can be in the Delayed Enlistment Program is 12 months. one can ship out anywhere from within a week, to the 12 months. it all depends and when a slot can be found in the school that you get in your contract that begins after Basic Training.

Took me 3 months. I had moved continuously across the U.S so they had to check all that. But I was still in High School so 3 days after I graduated I was accepted.

depends on the force and the job requests.....my son wanted a certain job and all that sort of stuff so he went about 4 months from start to finish....some much longer and some in a matter of weeks if they are willing to accept what ever is on offer job wise.
Took me [back in the day] over 10 months to enlist in the UK Navy but most of that was age related................

Got drafted in the german army, took them 3 weeks to find me and tell me i need to get mustered, and then i got pulled in for 9 months

i don't think of you are able to connect the British Royal Marines being an American. I understand that we are allies and we combat on the realm of one yet another in Iraq yet i don't think of we are that close. basically like how the U. S. Marines do not settle for foreign places immigrants, i think of they gained't help you connect with boot. as a fashion to confirm, you will might desire to circulate to a recruiting station in Britain.they are considered as problematical or much greater sturdy than the U. S. Marines. sturdy success!
