Hum..let me see..my house is three times as expensive as I bought it..my car costs 5 times more then my first car...macdonalds big macs cost twice what they did in high school..gas is 325 a gallon vs 55 Cents in 1980. You have china labor making 30 cents a day but my BBQ I bought last week (made in China) costs 3oo dollars. My friends in illegal lobby, you have NO facts.

Illegal immigration doesn't lower prices to the end user/consumer. The lower costs due to "cheap labor" just inflates the employer's profits, that's all.

they are not talking about inflation, inflation always increases as time goes one, and illegal immigration doesnt really lower inflation. What people mean when they say illegal immigration lower costs are products that illegal immigration are hired for. And the list is mostly small, like produce, agriculture or menial labor. Even though these costs are small, the oppurtunity cost (other costs) are high, with illegal immigrants using the american educational service that the government is spending a lot on and the crimes and drugs that does cost the united states government a lot of money. So illegal immigration does not really lower costs on a large scale basis and it turns out to be more expensive for the united states government and the people who cant find jobs bc illegal immigrants take their jobs for lower pay and more hours.

The cost of anything would not change,As the employers pocket the money an tax's collected. No savings to us citizens.Look at how much we would save with all the social services stopped. What about health care fraud, we pay that,IDS & SS# fraud, credit card scams, Forclosers, the amount of gas they use,no car ins,Jobs lost to lower wages the list is so long i would bore you.Wait an see what changes happen now that the cities & states are starting to enforce the laws.Keep calling & e/mailing the Gov were on a roll.

Chicken feed for a big country like the USA. Nobody knows the cost or profit from "illegal immigrants" who pay taxes and get few benefits. We only see shrieking sensational headlines in newspapers trying to attract buyers.

DAMN RIGHT!!! Why is my medical insurance going up every year when I barely use it? Why is it that I have to pay triple what I did 3 yrs ago for an ER visit??? Could it be that illegals go to the ER and get treated without insurance? could it be that those costs are passed on to us Americans? I have been at my job 5 yrs. I get a raise every single year. Some have sucked, some have been nice. Why do I bring home less now than I did when I started my job????? I would like to know what exactly is cheaper?? Can someone give me one specific item that is cheaper now than it was 6 mos. ago?????

It is a fallacy...that is often used by pro-illegals that "produce" would be unaffordable if it wasn't for the illegal alien. Agriculture is not the only employment sector that illegal aliens work in.

Only 25% of the agricultural workers in the U.S. are illegal aliens...meaning the other 75% are filled legally....by legal citizens or legal immigrants.

We have a large percentage of illegal aliens working in the construction industry in the U.S., but they never acknowledge this. If their "theory" were true, we would also face unaffordable high housing if illegal aliens were deported.

The truth is-if the U.S. "needs" more workers, all we need to do is increase our immigration quota. We do NOT "need" illegal alien criminals. There are HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS, IF NOT BILLIONS of people that would love to come to America if only given the chance. Who in their right mind thinks we "need" 12-20 million illegal aliens?????

We have no shortage of legal immigrants, and an inexhausible pool to choose from if we need them.

Inflation has been a fact of life for a long time now. If you eliminated the impact of illegal immigration on wages and prices, it probably would goose inflation for a time, leading to higher prices of some goods & services, and lower real wages for some (but higher real wages for those formerly competing directly with illegals).

Because the facts are that illegals are costing us much more than they are worth having here.

And China is going through Mexico (using the NAFTA) to avoid the tariff taxes on their China made garbage. And that's the deal Mexico made with China.

It's true that many goods and services would be more expensive without illegal immigration. It's just fact. If I'm paying somebody $3 an hour I can sell my goods for less than if I have to pay him $7 an hour like everybody else who's actually American.

What you're describing is inflation and a fantastic housing market that just recently peaked. It's true though, the biggest supporters of illegal immigration outside of illegal immigrants are the pro-business lobby. "Why say no to cheap labor?"

I'm still waiting for some hard evidence that illegals keep prices down in this country. All I get are over-the-top guesses from the pro-illegal crowd, like $6 for an apple, $8 a gallon for gas, etc. etc.
