For some reason, when i was a little kid, 4th or 5th grade, I would always have a dream that I forgot to put my clothes on before I went to school. And, I only noticed that when i walked into the classroom, wearing underwear only, and all of the kids laughed at me. Does anybody know what could be the cause of my dream, or what it means??

I've heard and read that the "naked in public" dreams generally signify real life feelings of pressure and inadequacy low self esteem, vulnerability...stuff like that.

So you are going about your normal routine - going to work, waiting for the bus, or just walking down the street when you suddenly realize that you are stark naked. Nudity also symbolizes being caught off guard. Finding yourself naked at work or in a classroom, suggests that you are unprepared for a project at work or school. You may be uninformed in making a well-formed decision. With all eyes on you, you have this fear of having some deed brought to public attention. You fear that people will see through your true self and you will be exposed as a fraud or a phony.
Many times, when you realize that you are naked in your dream, no one else seems to notice. Everyone else in the dream is going about their business without giving a second look at your nakedness. This implies that your fears are unfounded; no one will notice except you. You may be magnifying the situation and making an issue of nothing. On the other hand, such dreams may mean your desire (or failure) to get noticed.

I had this one too!
Freud believed that "naked in public" dreams indicated a desire to be a nudist (at least part of the time)...but Freud was a bit of a nut case himself! Modern psychologists usually interpret this dream as an expression of vunerability...that you feel "exposed" on "on display" in your waking life and this comes through as a naked in public dream. Could have been correlated with a period of high stress in your life or a time when you felt like other people were watching you (not paranoia, just too high profile for your taste)...for example, I often had this dream when I had to give a speech in front of the class or when I was going to be judged for something (a horse show, science fair). From what I understand, shy people are more likely to have this dream than outgoing people!

Well you must be worrying about something and having a lot of pressure on you. It's a dream that means you should relax and all the pressure will melt away. ( That is if you have any pressure.)

I agree with Leah that this dream can be about insecurity and self esteem.
It can also be about feelig "exposed", like you have a secret that is exposed, or you are afraid it will become revealed and you will be "stripped bare".

Your not feeling comfortable in your surroundings or you don't feel that the people around you are the best people to be around you. Try making new friends, or try something so you can feel safe and secure without disrupting your environment.
