How would you go about it?

ABSOLUTELY!!

Further, I would support legislation allowing ONLY Christian merchants to sell ONLY Christian-made goods. And ONLY Christians should be permitted inside stores and shops.

I would support laws allowing ONLY Christians to have bank accounts.

I would advocate companies' right to use lie detectors and other intrusive means to identify and to weed out ALL non-Christian employees.

I would back all moves to deny access to health care services by ALL non-Christians.

I would tax ALL non-Christians' incomes at 90%, in the hopes they would either starve or emigrate.

This so-called "American experiment" is an abomination to God Almighty. We should end it NOW and install a correct government based on the eye-for-an-eye wisdom of the ancient Hebrews. Their success has been unparalleled by any nation in history.

I would not support it. And I'm a Christian. I go to a Christian school and used to go to a public one. So I've seen both worlds.

I think in a public school setting, Creationism, Naturalism, Evolution, etc should be taught together as philosphy. None of the above are science because they all begin with an assumption (there is a God or there is not a God) and students should be able to make that assumption for themselves and decide what they believe.

As a Christian, I would oppose it. I believe in the separation of church and state. For practical reasons, I oppose it, because WHICH interpretation of Christianity do we teach? For instance, do we teach the interpretation that justifies homophobia or do we teach the interpretation that believes homophobia is sinful?

I think what should be done is offer a class on religion. Make sure it is a class which continues long enough (more than a week for example) to teach about all the major and some minor religions (including atheism and agnosticism) and the variations in belief in each religion. Contrast and compare. This allows each student to make up his/her own mind or at least start on a path of exploration to determine which faith he/she wishes to hold. Those of us who are Christians hope and pray each student will accept Christianity, but we cannot cancel God's rule of Free Will for everyone.

I wouldn't support it, not because I am Pagan personally, but for the fact that there are literally hundreds of religions in the world at any given time, and allowing one in public education systems is more asserting dominance over the others than anything else.

Religion personally, should only be taught in private schools, schools that are specifically for that religion, such as Catholicism has its own institutions.

Yes I would. Just go back 40 years or so in history and you will see that Christianity was taught in public schools. I say let's go back to those days. No school shootings and no teachers molesting students. Once we told God to get out of our schools, He graciously left, however, when God left, His spiritual protection and blessings of our schools went with Him. Today ,our children are paying for the parents sin.
Praise The Holy Name Of Jesus !!!!

There is nothing against teaching religion in private schools, if people are so concerned that their children get a christian education, they should send their kids there, or home school them. Nothing wrong with that.

I think if you teach one religion, you have to teach all, and that's simply not possible. There is no official religion of the US, nor should there be. We are an inclusionary society, all are welcome here, be you Christian, Ba'hai, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Zoroastrian, whatever.

Public schools are for everyone, not just for Christians. As for the poster who (rediculously) claimed that prior to 1962, that's all that was taught in public schools, don't forget that prior to 1962, many public schools were segregated, but that wasn't right, was it?

The Founding Fathers of this country did not want religion promoted by the government, that's why the Establishment Clause was added to the First Amendment "Congress shall make no law promoting the establishment of religion". That's pretty cut and dried to me. Go teach whatever you want in your home, I'll teach what I want in mine.

No. I think it'd be pretty wicked awesome, in my opinion, as I'm a Christian in public schools. But I don't agree that'd be fair. Honestly, I think if they taught creationism in school, they should teach evolution and TBB with the same amount of detail. Split the research up evenly, and correctly. But single Christianity? No. They should teach both. They single atheism, but teach nothing on Christianity now. Both would be rather satisfying.

I believe in freedom of religion. I would love to see all religions in each state to focus on teaching religions . It would be nice to learn about each others cultures, religions and ways of life. No one person is correct, or perfect. And it would be nice to focus children's lives on excepting new things and learning more about the particular religion they pratice at home.
It would be good because the schools then could get the parents to come in, talk about how they were raised and what they know about their religion. It would keep everyone on the same track of respect and honoring other people's lives.
Outright banning religion in schools is taking away from our right to have our own religion. This is the most unfair thing we can do to our Nation!

NO! At my old school you got in trouble if you talked about God, but one of my friends got grilled by the other kids because she believed in an intirely different concept. It's the kids school, after all. What do they care if they get new ideas? Good parents would let their child believe what they wanted to. If anything about religion at all, we should be taught to embrace all different religions and not build up barriers over other people. There will always be people to oppose our beliefs and ideas, but who are we to say that they are wrong? You have to consider other perspectives before settling on just one. We can't all lump into different groups. We can't all be one person, either. I think we should be tolerant of one another and coexist in peace. Of course, such is our situation that it may not be possible. And there will be people out there saying that this is entirely stupid, but hey, I am just one perspective, again.

Actually, no. I can definately see the public school system employing someone who isn't qualified. Pulic schools are notorious for failing to do backround checks. They'd wind up hiring someone who's not a Christian and worse, teach our children to twist the Bible into ways that would support rejection of Christ.
