Knee jerk reactions aside, anyone whos taken five minutes of philosophy should know that you cant prove anything, (even god, even the holocaust, even your own existence) to an absolute certainty.

How about some depth in the answers?

Lets grow here.

Ad hominem attacks solve nothing.

The underlying question is; Why does questioning God, or the Holocaust (or Apple pie or recycling I'm sure), does it cause and automatic cessation of critical thinking?

Why are there questions that so called intelligent people refuse to consider?

Would this question have been easier for some if it was about The Beatles and The Rolling Stones?

The Holocaust is provable, because there are pictures, eye witness accounts, and museums dedicated to it.
The idea that anyone would compare the existence of God, to the occurrence of the Holocaust is stupid.

Obviously the Holocaust was real. However, since you can't prove your own existence why should I bother to answer you? What a waste of space.

Parenthetically, you *can* prove you exist--cogito ergo sum. What you *cannot* prove is merely the *state* of your existence. Please don't try to out-philosophize everyone else--you won't win.
