Im only 8 but yesterday my big sis babysat me she is 14. And my twin sister and i went at the pool when she told us not too. When we came home she pulled me to her knee set me on her lap and spanked me 3 hard wacks after she told me to go sit in the corner and did the same thing to my twin. We were spanked bare bottom. My parents told her she's aloud to spank us and punish us if we are bad. I still love her. But now i always obey her. Do you think i deserved it?

I normally did not get spanked in front of my big sister or kid brother, except a few times when sis and I had gotten into trouble together. But I was only 7 or 8 then, and it must have been more embarassing for my sis to know that I was around to see her get her bottom blistered by our mom. I fully understand that you do not like to have your bottom bared and spanked in the presence of your sibs. Perhaps you can make a deal with your dad: spank me in private and do it a little harder if it has to be.

I'm totally surprised to be answering a question from an 8 year old on here. Wow! Good for you being so computer savvy. I am an older sister myself and was often in charge of babysitting my sisters. My parents, though, didn't believe that I should be the one to discipline them to that extreme. I could send them to their rooms or to sit on a chair, but I really wasn't to really scream and holler nor was I to ever lay a hand on them. I just had to tell my parents what had happened so that they could hand out the major punishment later. Each family is different, but I'm still surprised she is allowed to spank you, bare bottom or clothed. At your age, do you think that the spanking taught you a lesson? Going to the pool without permission is pretty serious--and it is REALLY not safe. What do you think would teach you a lesson so that you don't do anything so unsafe again? Don't have hard feelings toward your sister...she really did what she thought was right...I'm sure you really scared her doing what you did and she loves you and wouldn't want anything to happen to you. Maybe your family should talk about this at dinnertime when everyone is around and you could talk about some other possible punishments for the future. (grounding/taking away privileges, etc). i dont think you sister should spank you nor hit you,and just because you 8 doesent give you the right to hit you. i have a 5 year old nephew and i dont hit him, so i dont think you sister shoud'nt either.
