Ok, not enough information here.
How did you meet this guy, on a dating site, in a chat room, here, on answers??? Your safety depends a lot on this.
Dating sites do some screening and you may be able to sort out the losers from your matches this way. If you've just met him in a chat room or similar site, you should be very careful before you meet. Is he close locally to your home? Has he given you any information about himself (address, personal information, etc.?) You can actually run a background check on people with a minimum amount of information, such as name, phone, address, age, through many search engines, though it costs for anything really personal. If you can't find anything on him, he may be a total fraud and you need to stay as far away from him as possible.
It sounds like you're too young or naive' to be meeting a stranger you met on the Internet anyway, if you haven't figured this out.
I met my husband on an Internet dating site. He's the love of my life and we've been happily married for 5 years now so, I'm evidence that it can work. I was careful though, and limited my contacts and locals to an area I felt comfortable with. I didn't meet anyone without going through many less-personal means of communication first ; email, phone, then, if I was comfortable, lunch in a public place with no strings. I admit that I met a few frogs before my prince, and he said he'd had similar experiences.
Be very careful. Take it very slowly. Trust your instincts.

No! Don't you watch TV and movies, or the msnbc presents show on internet perverts caught in the act, and the things that they brought with them like duct tape, knives, and shovels etc...?

I would wait until you feel ok with giving him your phone number so you can actually talk to him but giving him your e-mail is a great start hope it works out for you
