I was 6'2 142 when I was 17. I was 6'2 180 when I was 18. I few years later I was 6'2 200. One of the obvious ways to add weight is calories, lots of them daily.
Eat until your full, and continue to eat more. This stretches your stomach and allows you to handle more food.
Be sure and eat a lot around bedtime. Foods like milk, peanut butter, and ice cream are good for calories. Forget about the fat content and look for calories on food labels.
Don't waist your appetite on foods with few calories. Eat meats like bologna and use lots of mayo on sandwiches.
I would also get checked out for allergies and other medical conditions that might be causing you not to gain weight.
At you size and age it will all go to muscle. Weight training right now is not a good idea. It will not help you gain weight. Maybe later on.

Protein should be taken at a 1 to 1 ratio to your weight or somewhere close to it. (Average Bodybuilders intake). So, for example, if you're 140 lbs, take about 140 g of protein a day (don't forget to count the protein from your meals too).
Gaining muscles cant happen magically overnight or by some pills...that's ridiculous. You'll need to workout just like everybody else. Gaining muscle all depends on your workout routine, your diet, and of course your motivation.
Email me if you want more details on how to plan out your workout routine and diet plan.
Hope this help.

I'm 6"2 and 200 pounds. I eat 8 times a day. You weigh 140 pounds so you have to eat at least 250 grams of protein a day. Start lifting 5 times a week. The whey protein is one the best shakes you could have. Its low carb and you should have at least 2 to 3 of them a day. Each one should con-sits of 50 grams of protein. The other meals have to have protein in them as well, fish, chicken, red meat. If you want i have a diet plan that i just did give me your email and I will send it to you. Its really strict but if you strict with you will start to see results with in a week.

Talk to a personal trainer and get some good vitamin supplements and get yourself to the gym and begin lifting weights. In one year I gained 20 pounds of pure muscle from just lifting and went from 135lbs to 155 lbs but I'm only 5'11.

No pills to gain muscle. Steroids are a ridiculous road to take. You need to find a dietician and trainer to assit you with this, and monitor. You will need a change in diet to consumer larger amounts of protein and complex carbs; as well as an alteration to your work outs.

There's nothing wrong with a skinny boy. They are hot. Kinda David Bowie-ish.
But if feel insecure, and you want to get fit, excercise! Lift weights. Lifting for even 10 minutes a day can make a difference.

Dude, sorry, you just might be one of the skinny ones. That's ok, I have a good friend who is in his early 30s, a former Marine, who is 6'3" and 130. And I wouldn't want to mess with him in a fight, although we have fenced to a draw.
Also, at 18, you still have some growing/filling out to do. And lots of ladies prefer lean to heavy!

There is a little something called "time" that can help you. Within a few years you should fill out. I only weighed 144 when I was 18 and within two years I weighed 170.

i would think since you dont have alot of fat on you that it would be easy for you to gain muscle. I would look into eating ALOT of those high calorie protein bars, they could help even eating a couple of them a day.
