Basically what i said in the title. I'm curious where in the heart do you inject adrenaline? (drug use is not a factor in this question). How do you feel around to know exactly where to stick the needle?

An intracardiac injection (of epinephrine) is given into the chamber of the left ventricle during a cardiac arrest. This can only be done by someone who has had intensive training as it is not an easy thing to do.

While I have witnessed it being given more times than I can count, I could not begin to tell you how to locate the exact location for inserting the cardiac needle. The precise procedure also was not something that was covered in nursing school.

All you can do is hope that a doctor who has done it will see your question and be able to explain in layman's terms how to do it but I highly doubt anyone could do it based on instructions alone.

I am so, so sorry, what a horrible and tragic situation for you and your daughter to be in, reading your story, and some of the other answers has made me cry. If it were me, I think I'd have the baby and try and give him every possible chance of survival - he's obviously survived until now. As other people have said - Doctors do get things wrong and often defects are not as bad as first thought, remember, the information they have is only going by scans - they cannot test the actual baby in the flesh yet. A few years ago my friend had a baby girl, after she was born the Doctors told my friend her baby had downs syndrome - she was devasted, and her husband did not want anything to do with the baby [awful, I know]. After a few weeks and more tests, it turns out the baby did NOT have downs syndrome at all! That baby is now a happy and healthy 10 year old! Good luck to you, my thoughts are with you x x x
