According to reports its gonna happen Sept. 29 in Atlantic City. Taylor is already looking ahead to moving up in weight. They wanted it at a catch weight but Pavlik wants the title, kudos to him. I take Pavlik in this one what u think?

Bill I have u as a contact. Open ur email on ur profile and I will contact u.
Also I like the answers so far, Taylor had to lose 9 pounds in 3 days before he fought Spinks. And Pavlik brings it like a warrior of old when he fights. So both should be worn out by the time they enter the ring. Should be interesting.

Pavlik burst into the world boxing scene in a big way by pummeling the most feared puncher in boxing. Taylor's career seems to be slightly headed in the opposite direction. He hasn't lived up to lofty expectations. This has had an obvious negative effect on his psyche. Jermaine was once a polite southern boy, but lately is becoming surly and greedy - he is turning into MAYWEATHER! I think his frustration over not being able to get to the smaller, quicker guys he's been fighting, plus pressure from his critics, will lead to him wanting to go toe-to-toe with Pavlik. That would be a very big mistake indeed!
Taylor can win in a carefully fought decision. If he comes to trade leather, he will get knocked out.

Pavlik. Every fight he has had they said would be a good test for him Bronco McKart, Jose Luis Zertuche, Edison Miranda, and then after he has dominated and knocked out each opponent people all the sudden say...well those weren't championship caliber opponents. Well at some point you have to give Kelly Pavlik the respect he deserves. Miranda was a quality opponent and was beat down. Taylor has good boxing skills but I think Pavlik has more power. Miranda took the best punches from a natural heavier fighter used to fighting at 170-175 in Allan Green but could not withstand Pavlik. Yes, he looked past him a bit and Pavlik was a lot more aggressive than Miranda might have expected but these are proffesionals and can make adjustments between rounds. Miranda went 12 rounds with Abraham and lost a controversial decision I think that makes him championship material. My only fear is that Taylor will do Pavlik an injustice and move up in weight to challenge Calzaghe before giving Pavlik his shot.

I say have it at 160 still be for the title and winner just vacant the titles cause thats what pavlik was going to do if he won anyway.....i think pavlik just wants to win titles at middleweight period cause he doesn't think he will with kessler, lacy, brute, calzaghe and taylor in the division with him. I believe he thinks he has came to far to just give up on this title shot opportunity...They both have trouble making 160 i think taylor is having the most trouble making it though but you will see the best taylor since he hasn't looked good since the 2nd b-hop fight....He needs to get pat burns back and establish his brutal jab...I see he had one of the best jabs but he lost it with manuel steward but wladimir jab his way to victory what kind of stuff...but i give this to jermain taylor tko stoppage....pavlik takes to much punishment in this fight...Cause jermain taylor will be on wipe him down...It will take taylor n pavlik alot to make this weight so don't look for this fight to be to exciting...

I was real impressed with Pavlick in his last fight, but I haven`t exactly followed his career. Jermain Taylor managed to get two decisions against Hopkins. My thoughts are he`ll do just enough to skate by on points. I dont see him really trying to engage Pavlick. I wish Kelly the best though he`s a hell of a lot more interesting to see fight.

All these answers are good. I never heard of Pavlick until the last fight. I live in LIttle rock and i too think Taylor will do just enough to skate by with his jab and defensive tactics.
according to my readings, pavlick also has trouble making weight and will soon move up in class.

ACEMAN.................Please contact me, as my email address is shown, I hope...(.billboxing). I'm not particularly overly impressed with Jermain as an all out champion at this time. Therefore, the height, agression and attributes of Kelly Pavlik, just might make this a very tough fight for Mr.Taylor, IMO. Still interested in glove making............Know the basic glove pattern and method of manufacture, but would like to compare and discuss the foam filled method more with you..........Write me. Thanks. Bill.

I think Taylor will get him. He wont fight a brawling type of Pavlik fight. He will stay on the outside and jab jab str8 all day. Taylor in a descision.

both are a little over rated I myself expected much more from Taylor. I believe Taylor has slow feet thats one of his problems I have noticed. I believe Taylor will win but I hope I am wrong.
