by a hospital, how do you do that? If you just want them to make sure that you're okay, but don't want police and stuff involve, what do you say?

Since the hospital staff have to report anything like that, how does someone who doesn't want to file a report seek medical help? I'm asking here because I can't find a better category, except maybe women's health.

A hospital cannot report it (unless you are a minor and their is a concern you are being abused by a person of trust) without your consent. Call your local hospital and ask about their confidentiality laws.

But please report it. Especially if you know who did it because if they did it too you they will do it to others.

They won't get police involved unless you want them too. There are confidentiality rules at hospitals, and in any medical field. You don't have to press charges if you don't want to...but it could be the difference between other girls getting raped or not. You could save them from being raped by reporting it.
And you should go to the hospital anyway, in case he had an std or got you pregnant. For your own health, you should really go to the hospital, they won't do anything with the police if you tell them not to. (Unless you're under 18) But still, this person deserves to get locked up, or at least probation or something.

You can go to any hospital. Even if the hospital calls the police, when they show, just tell them you do not want to file a report. Nothing will take place, they will not press you for information.

I really would hope that a person in that position would report it though. Reporting will not cause an inconvenience for anyone but the rapist. The rapist will do it again to someone else if left free.

for goodness sake, why wouldn't you want to report a rape? It's a crime, and the victim deserves better treatment than that. By not reporting, you enable the rapist to stay free to do to another what he did to you or yours. Do you want that?
By reporting it, the victim gets medical help, counseling and assistance too. Don't worry about how to get checked without filing the report, do the right thing, go to the police and the hospital and get taken care of, while protecting other potential victims..

The hospital is not required by law to report what happens. They are required to report only that they treated a rape case, but they will not give the police or anyone else your name or information without your consent. You should hurry up and go as fast as possible.

Go to the hospital immediately to get yourself checked. That is the #1 concern. When the police come, tell them you do not want to press charges and do not cooperate with the investigation.

HOWEVER.. it would be in the best interest to cooperate with the police and put your attacker in jail. If not, someone else is likely to suffer your fate.

Go to the nearest ER. Tell them you were raped. Ask for a crisis counselor. If they call the police, remember these words:
SIR/MA'AM THE 5TH AND 6TH AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION GIVE ME THE RIGHT NOT TO SPEAK TO YOU WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY PRESENT. RESPECTFULLY, I AM ASKING THAT YOU NOT ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS BECAUSE MY ATTORNEY IS NOT HERE". Do NOT make any statements about the incident to the police - but do get medical treatment and counseling. Let them take their evidence, but not your verbal statement. Not until you have had time to get a good night's sleep and rest and recover.

Gee, I hope whoever raped you doesn't find me or my daughter and rape us too b/c you didn't report his sorry butt and put him in jail.

Trust me, I know what you're going through and you will not feel better about yourself by letting scum walk away.

I wonder if there was a girl like you who didn't report it before and that's why this happened to you. Think about it and have the courage to take some action!

I am not going to lecture you that it should be reported!!!!! Just call a gynecologist for a full exam. Tell the doctor you had unprotected sex and they will run a battery of all std and aids tests for you.
