I can only wear real silver and gold earrings as my skin has been sensitive to metal since I was a child. What causes this? Just wondering...

The main two alloys responsible for skin dermatitis is nickel and chromium. Nickel is also in white gold to make it stronger. Both nickel and chromium are present in surgical stainless steel. If you want a really 100% hypoallergenic alloy, go with pure titanium. I have a titanium ring and it looks awesome.

i think it could be allergies, as they usually cause skin sensitivity. if none of these answers work for you, call a dermatologist.
