I have a question for you all.
Are looks important to you??
Does the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with, have to be good-looking??
Or, do you base your relationships on personality?

This may sound a bit shallow to start but, yes, looks are generally the first thing to attract two people; luckily, everyone's "looks" profile and/or standards differ. After a relationship has begun between two people, so many other factors become more important- mutual goals, communication, trust, love, personality, morality, interests, intelligence., etc- that no real, mature relationship is going to last no matter how much the two people are physically attracted to one another. People who are simply "hooking up" or having "booty call" sex with someone they find attractive (but usually don't like, don't know, or don't care about their partner) are not in a real relationship- usually because they are not mature enough to be in one.

I mostly base my relationships on personality. But a person can't do that totally, or else they'd be a complete angel. I wouldn't date the hottest guy in school if he's a complete jerk, but then again, the guy's looks have to at least be decent. Besides, have you ever heard the phrase "Beauty is true through the viewer's eyes"? It means that if I meet a guy and his personality is perfect, my opinion of his looks would probably change too, and even if everyone else though he was ugly, maybe I would see the handsome side in him.

In today's societies, looks are defintely important. A person does not have to be Hollywood good looking, but nice looks and a nice body attract the opposite sex. Rarely will a personality alone do that. Sadly, nice guys and nice girls do often finish last.

I might crush on someone for their looks, but to spend the rest of my life with? Personality, seriously. He's got to make me laugh, to be able to take a few jokes, and he's got to be able to talk intelligently. I won't be able to stand it if all he can do is crack obscene jokes.
What's creepy is looking at a celebrity and thinking "Oh jeez, if you changed ------- then they could be twins...."

I'm more about the personality. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to go looking for someone that I don't feel attracted to.
If you have a good personality, you will look good to me.
If you have a bad personality, you will look horrible to me.

i honestly think most people go by looks first .i mean how can anyone date an ugly person?let alone wake up to them for the rest of their life ewwww.

personality. besides.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. someone who isnt to good looking could look really hott to me because i love him. not saying i dont like hotties =)

for me its mostly personality...i could really care less what they look like, so long as their not horrifically disfigured or anything...but thats just me
