I have 3 " But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surly your blood of you lives Will I require: at the hand of every best Will I require it." Genesis 1:29' and "He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man." Isaiah 66:3 and "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me?Saith the Lord: am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts and I delight no in the blood of bulls or cows or lambs or goats. When Ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you, Ye when ye make many prayers, I will not hear, for you hands are full of blood." Isaiah 1"11,15
I like them because they prov that God wants us to be a vegetarian. Even animals don't eat each other in heaven and the garden of Eden no one ate animals. Many Christians are Vegetarian I am. Though shall not kill means animals. When God gave dominion over the animals that means to protect not devour. For the original New testament before king Constantine changed it google gospelofthenazirenes.com Jesus originally taught vegetarianism, karma, reincarnation, and no one goes to hell eternally. but Constantin changed all that to control the citizens and he was an avid meat eater. Actually my favorite Verse is "Go and sin no more." He never said I died for your sins he told us how to live our lives. Man said that he had to die to take sin. Jeuss could take all our sins without being crusified. He lived to show the example how to become free from sin.

So many verses to chose from, to name a few...
-"For God so loved the World, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16 - proves God's love for us, and is comforting
-The Genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:1-17 - shows how Jesus came to save everyone, and that He loves everyone. So many different people in the collection, David, Soloman, Rahab, Jacob, and so many others...
-"Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous: sing, all you who are upright i heart!" Psalms 32:11 - This one has a story behind it, in an hour of perfect happiness, my eyes fell upon this voice, and I felt like it described it well.
-"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13 - It's true, w/ God, anything is possible
So many others, these were the ones that came to mind first!!!! But the whole Bible is a treasure!!!!!
\o/ Praise God!!! \o/

Proverbs 3:19 "With wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place" I like this verse because, as a pantheist, I believe that God is revealed in the order and beauty of nature.

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." - James 1:22(NIV)
I selected this verse because it does not stand alone, but blatantly depends on the entire message of the bible and emphasizes the call to action too often overlooked by the bible's readers (myself included).
This one verse spans from cover to cover and throughout the application of these words into action.

"The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16)
because it shows how out dated and just how wrong it is.

Attention to All here is some Great news!
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:24-26
Wow!
Thank You JESUS!

I agree with Schneb, good point!
These in James I have to keep coming back to because once you have received salvation through Christ, it is time for evidence of that in your life:
James 1:19-20 "This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger,
for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God."
and James 1:22 But prove yourselves to be doers of the word and not merely hearers who delude themselves."

I'm not good to remember all verses of the Bible but I just can't prefer any other, more than everyone that in the Words of Jesus are directed to the children's. "They will own the world" also "any one who may even think to harm any of this angels doesn't deserve to live", and "when you hold some of this children's in your arms, think that you are holding me". <>

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. - Jesus to Nicodemus in John 3:16
In this one quote is the encapsulation of the entire Bible, as well as the answer to mankind's most important question, "What must I do to be saved?"
http://www.schneblin.com/studies/pdfs/john_3-16.pdf
If all we had was the book of John, it would be enough.
If all we had was chapter 3 of the book of John, it would be enough.
If all we had was verse 3:16 of the book of John, it would be more than enough.

My favorite is Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth.
because it pretty much describes how everything began.
