I have a few friends who pretend to be gay. They like hug and blow kisses then laugh. Why do they do that?

It's a compensating technique. You see it in TV shows, too...an episode of Scrubs where the mean doctor and his wife's brother did a kissing chicken challenge and the doctor lost...
Guys have a really rough time demonstrating affection for one another in platonic relationships...so, they are probably just being stupid to get a rise out of you and/or show how 'cool' they are.
Ask them. They'll probably get really red in the face and stammer, or they'll act more gay just to make your confusion grow.

They are ignorant because they are really making fun of gay men, which do not act like this at all. They sound about 10 years old.

Cuzzz they're weird! And if you don't mind I'd like to ask you a question, "why do girls like gay guys?? Cuzz that's why guys act that way cuzzz some girls like to hang out with gay guys. I don't care how much girls would like me if i acted gay, I will NEVER act gay for anybody!!!! I am prob. the straightest guy you're ever gonna meet!

I have a few friends who act like that. it does not mean they are gay it just means they are not afraid of having their sexualities questioned because they themselves are sure of their own sexual orientation. In other words if you know your straight it doesn't matter how you act.

Because they are really immature. They think they are being funny, but sometimes they're not. If you don't think its funny don't laugh.
