Question for those who believe in the “God of Creation”…?

Question

Did “God” create man after he destroyed the dinosaurs?

Can you explain to me why there are fossils of dinosaurs and other creatures that date back over 65 million years and why there is no mention of it in the book of creation?

Please no bashing.

So if Science is, as in a responders words, “and can be very very wrong”, this must include also that the creation of Penicillin and other miracle drugs created by scientists, doctors, and others must also be very, very wrong. Interesting.

So, if as you stated, the scientist (men created by the God the Creator) can be wrong then could one also surmise that the religious (men created by the God the Creator) can also be wrong?

Because science is very very new, and can be very very wrong. Carbon dating (used to date things, look it up) had dated a dead seal millions of years apart, the top at one age, and the bottom was another age... Please tell me HOW this is possible :)

Maybe you should go to the new Creation Museum and it will explain it to you !

The simple answer starts here. Did the bible mention the platypus? No. Did it mention elephants in creation? No. It did mention reptiles of every kind though, and beasts of every kind.
The second part of this is pretty simple too. Carbon dating uses an equation with two unknown variables. Like, if you had an equation like y=mx+b, and you only knew m and x, then you have to use something else to figure out b if you want to know y. Carbon dating uses tree rings, and glaciers, etc for this. The problem with this is that it assumes the world is random and not created. If the world is created 4000 years ago, then the calibration scientists use fails. I hope that makes sense.
Carbon dating and other forms of radio dating have very variable rates depending on the environment. Scientists have to apply what they think they know about time periods to determine what influence it had on the decay of elements that they use. Again, assuming that the world was not created and was random. So, they could be wrong.
So, we know dinosaurs were here, maybe science is just wrong on the age part. Maybe God did create dinosaurs, and the died off before we did.

Oh, and as for scientists possibly being wrong, there is a track record of that.
1- Scientists, not the church, stated that the world was flat, based on observations. A couple hundred years later, that was refuted.
2- The accepted model of an atom has changed at least 3 times in the past 150 years
3- Scientists at one point decided that there were physiological differences that made whites more superior to other races. This helped the case of the nazis, and was later refuted as scientific racism.(look this up on wikipedia)
4- Scientists have changed the food pyramid several times since I was born.
the list goes on of instances where the original theory was incorrect, and was refuted with later studies. So, why do we assume that 150 years of research in this area is sufficient?

I Have a few theory's on this.
1. a day to God is a million to us so in those 6 days (6 million years) the dinosaurs could of been created before man, then God decided against it because he knew man & dinosaur could not cohabitate
2. They were destroyed in the flood. God told Noah that he wanted to destroy all the wicked people and other things that came from wrongdoings with evil spirits. He says Giants who knows maybe he meant dinos

Did the animal kingdom evolve from the "dinosaurs" before or after they were extinct?Does this show there was parallel evolution with the "dinosaurs and cavemen perishing and the present order of nature subsisting or surviving whatever erased the old order? Why did not everything get erased and there be just another pool of slime lying around waiting for the spark of life? Caveman"POOF" modern man.T-Rex"POOF"the Elephant or whatever came next.There is no God of the Gaps. Just gaps in the logic of ,there was that, now there's this. the strongest(natural selection) survive does not hold up under this.A comet doesn't have any names on it, It is an equal opportunity exterminator(smart or not).SOOooo ,Where's the proof to say you are accurate in your assertions of scienitic infallibility in such matters.

Your age of the earth is far removed from true Biblical understanding. This earth, according to the best scriptural interpretations is approximately 6000 years old. The Hebrew word for day in the first chapter of Genesis is a 24 hour day contrary to what some believe. Because of this scripture totally refutes the supposed years of evolution.

The strata data so fervently held on to by evolutionists comes from a false understanding of how the earth shifted during the flood of Noah's day. Now I can already hear the feet of those who are intellectual and knowledgeable running to refute this, but I will hold to the standards of God's Word anytime over any so-called "hypothesis." I AM OVERWHELMED WITH AMAZEMENT THAT EVOLUTION IS FOUNDED ON SO MUCH GUESS WORK AND SO FERVENTLY EMBRACED BY THOSE WHO ZEALOUSLY ADHERE TO IT.

EDIT: Your premise on scientists and religious men is flawed because scientists are only men inspired with intellect alone while the writers of scripture were men inspired by God spiritually as well as intellectually. Nobody can discern real spiritual truth apart from the Spirit of God.

ok, i don't think that scientific dating is accurate. i think that dinosaurs walked the earth with man. in the book of job, he speaks of dinosaurs, so he was there with them. before the flood of noah, when earth was first created God put a firmament over the earth, a water canopy, keeping all harmful sunrays out and potassium 40 that causes the aging process. therefore people lived hundreds of years, without aging very quickly as we do today and sickness was scarce too. so if people lived that long then so did the animals. dinosaurs were very large reptiles. have you ever seen an old reptile, they continue to grow as long as they live, so if they were living hundreds of years, then you have yourself a very big reptile. after flood that canopy fell, it was part of the flood, and springs burst from ground, so it wasn't all rain, now the world was exposed to these harmful effects of the sun causing people to live shorter lives. when these springs burst it caused the land that was at that time one giant land mass to break apart causing the continental drift. the ark landed in mt. arart in turkey. also there was an iron hammer that was unearthed and is now in a texas museum, it is special because of it's components. it's made of iron, chlorine, and phosphorous, these chemicals can't solidify together in the presence of uv rays.therefore it had to of been made pre-flood.there have been many fossils of fish found on mountain tops, and footprints of man and dinosaur together. the change of people's races, colors, language, is another story, but has to do with the building of the tower of babel, they were trying to build it to heaven to show god they didn't need him to get there. so he confused their languages, and races therefore they couldn't understand each other, they moved to different regions. some say that the major color differences found in human beings come from noahs 3 sons, black, white, brown, and they were their descendents, each getting different color, when changed, then people learned to communicate again and starting mixing races, and you now have what you have today.scientists have calculated that if there were 8 people on the ark left to repopulate the world thatfrom then till now there would be approximately 6 billion people in existance. pretty close.

No god, no consequences. Dinosaurs existing is no more proof that god didn't create us, than the sun is proof that earth is the center of the universe. People like yourself and other non believers that believe in scientific guessing rather than ancient scripture of personal accounts also believed: The world is flat, and Earth is the center of the universe. Those who believed these things also had proof, and evidence supporting them. But now we know they were wrong, and their evidence and data were flawed. The same thing will happen again, the evidence supporting evolution will be found flawed, and someone like yourself will again find new flawed evidence and state a new claim that God doesn't exist.

Genesis didn't mention a lot of things, like atoms, cells etc. It is what it is. a book for the believers. God will not choose all to his table at the same time. If it is his will for you to believe then you too will believe. The presence of dinosaurs does not diminish the book of Creation.

I know I'll get it from many other Christians, but I don't believe that God's days were the same as our 24 hours days. There are mentions in the Bible regarding time, even a statement along the lines that a lifetime for us is like a second to God.

So... who knows....

I personally believe in a combination of Creation and Evolution... I think He created and things evolved over time.

thats my personal theory ... there was a previous creation on earth ... maybe im wrong .. either that or the dinosaurs were destroyed at the garden of eden when God cursed the serpent ... and i dont trust the dating methods at all its no better than using a crystal ball the way they date things imo ...
