Zyrtec is very strong! Even just one pill for me knocks me out, and dopes me up for a whole day, I can't imagine what it would do to a toddler!

If the doctor prescribed it, give your toddler the dosage for a day or two and watch the reactions, but if you don't like what you see, I'd recommend something that's not as strong.

Zyrtec can be used in children younger than 14 mos. It has been a very commonly precribed well tolerated medication in children for several years. You may need to give it at night. Some doctors tho, depending on the severity of allergies, divide dose into a twice daily routine.
