Federal authorities stated in court documents obtained under the federal Freedom of Information Act that they believe that Vick's property was used as the "main staging area for housing and training ... pit bulls involved an [interstate] dog fighting venture called "Bad Newz Kennels" had operated over a period of five years and ... "was the scene of fights over the last five years." According to an ESPN attorney, a new "tough" federal law passed by the U.S. Congress earlier in 2007 is being used in many ongoing investigations of dog fighting around the country.
ESPN reported on July 6 that sources told Chris Mortensen, according to information gathered by the NFL and Atlanta Falcons, that Vick is unlikely to be indicted as a result of the federal investigation, although federal indictments of least three other unnamed individuals are likely. However, according to an ESPN attorney, under the Virginia law, Vick can be prosecuted if the authorities can show that he was "aware" of dogfighting activities conducted on his property.

Ugh...don't even get me started on him.
I live in the Hampton Roads area, and have to suffer daily hearing about his antics all over the news. It's crazy here. Everyone knows he's in to dog fights, and it's all over the news, and this entire area tries to play up both his celebrity status, his cruelty to animals, and at the same time, try to paint him as the picture of perfection "because he supports the boys club" in our area. PUH-LEASE! He needs to be kicked out of the NFL and jailed.

i was not there so all i know is what i read..they say pitbulls are people killer. read the paper. but i own 4 and there not killers.
so i did believe what i read. for all i know two dogs could have got in a fight over food. save the linch mob for after count..i think O.J. should be in jail.
