Ever read Revelations? Heaven is a city where everything is made of gold and gemstones and we worship and praise God all the time. It's always light because it's lit by God's goodness. The river of life flows through it and we can all drink freely.
Hell is a lake of fire where the suffering never ends, where you burn in agony but are never consumed, where maggots eat at you all the time but you are never eaten up. It is not simply "seperation from God" although that is part of it... it is actual eternal torture.

In the new testament "hell" is the word for a section of town used to burn garbage. There is little evidence that Jesus was talking about an actual place of perdition, rather it seems just as likely that he was using the word as an analogy for being discarded or tossed aside. Heaven on the other hand, he describes over and over again as being a current state that is found within.

I don't know the answer to that one either. It seems like any competent writer should be capable of describing something that doesn't exist. Fiction writers do it in nearly every book and science fiction writers have to do it in every book.
I suppose it is more of this, "God moves in mysterious ways" crap.
Have you ever noticed that God is all powerful but when things go to heII it is your fault. Christians and liberals are a lot alike. A Christian prays while the whole world goes to pot around them and then blames themselves not praying correctly. A liberal will perform exactly the same action repeatedly and expects to get a different result each time.
I am a conservative Atheist. I do neither. I learned long ago; the answer to every prayer is "NO" and every time you kick a dog it bites. It's really that simple.

There is no EXACT description but they're both described much more than "vaguely" and just a little reading would have answered your question ;)

Because the scribes that wrote the bible had no knowledge of heaven and hell, there is no man that has one ounce of evidence of what heaven and hell would be like, we do know neither exists, and we do know there is a spiritual world but that's all we know, and that is vary questionable.

Because that's not the point of the book. Heaven and hell are a subplot.

There are vague details given. That is enough. We as residents of this world , cannot understand any more for now. It is enough to know that it's eternal punishment or eternal bliss in paradise.

Jesus said "Heaven is at hand" Now! What does that mean to you? We chose to make this earth what it is or somethig better. Maybe we should tear it down and start again, Huh? At least some parts of it.
