I'm meeting this girls parents. Me and her aren't exactly dating...yet! but, i'm nervous about what I should wear. I'm usually casual/comfortable like athletic shorts and a t-shirt. But I know not to wear that...i'm thinking like a button down shirt and khaki shorts. BUT the only button down shirt I have, the sleeves are too short! Ahh!!

You can wear a tee just make sure it is clean and not waded up with wrinkles. Khaki shorts should fine too.

Check your guy buds' closets!!! Maybe one of them has a nice shirt you can wear. Is the meeting going to be like a cook-out (you can wear your shorts then, and it's perfectly ok). Nice jeans or khakis are advisible if you're having an indoor, sit-down dinner, usually. Good luck! Hope they like you! (OH! About your too-short-sleeved shirt....you might want to turn the cuffs up twice (you know, just below your elbows) if it's a casual supper (looks sharp, too!)

there's no need to look like you're trying too hard. do you have a collared cotton shirt in good condition? that wouldn't be atrocious. You're already going to be a little nervous, try to make sure you're at least comfortable. Relax, be yourself.
Pants always seem to look nicer, for some reason.
But, what are you doing w/ her parents? going out to eat, an outdoor activity? Take the parents out of the equation and what should you wear to this occasion? hope that helps...

Yes, a button down shirt and khaki pants would be fine. Buy a new shirt if you feel it doesn't look right...it will be worth it if you feel comfortable and confident. Good luck, and have a good time.

Roll the sleeves slightly up - wear the short, but no hat. Manner are the main thing parents look for. You'll be fine.

Well you should just wear something that's just not slakerish and not something to fancy you should just wear like some black pants and a white shirt or something.
