I know that I can walk, but this is just in the case of horrible weather. Is the Hard Rock Cafe even near Times Square? It's address is 1501 Broadway. Do I take the 1 and just get off at the first stop? And how do I find that subway line after getting off the train in Penn Station? Any help greatly appreciated!

Yes, Hard Rock is very close to Times Square. From Penn Station you can take the uptown 1, 2, or 3 directly there. Within Penn Station, it depends on where your train pulls in, but you basically need to go up one level and then follow the signs for Subway (1/2/3).

The Hard Rock Cafe is between W. 43rd and W.44th Street. So it's best to take the 1,2, or 3 and that will leave you off right there. Just make sure you leave the subway station on the right side of the street. You'll see signs. That way it'll save you walking.
