Check out this site for the Country Showdown...it happens all over the country every year. I've emceed a couple of these events, and judges LOVE talented kids! If nothing else, it's fantastic experience.

Well, he's 9. I would recommend vocal lessons so he can perfect his talent, and help him to find other places he can perform. County and state fairs, talent shows, senior centers, maybe even musical theatre. Just help him to practice his performance skills and to feel super comfortable infront of different crowds.

As far as going pro, I wouldn't push that just yet. He is very young still. With a few years of experience and probably some local fan base, you may want to start looking into recording a demo to send out to record agencies. Youtube is a great tool for artists to get their name out there, possibly you could record a few videos of him singing and create a channel for him on there. But again, I would not even try to go that far until he's at least old enough to have an idea of the work that goes into that, at least 13 or so.

Good luck, make sure your son has fun - that's the most important part!

America's Got Talent, it's a TV show maybe he should audition, if his is really serious there are plenty of places in Nashville for undiscovered young voices.

encourage him but dont let him get too confident cos too much confidence always lets you down. If he truly loves it hell choose when the time is right.

Let him have a childhood. When he is 18, he can pursue whatever career he wants.
