kayla,
If toothpaste was made for acne wouldn't the directions be on there - like say baking soda (you cook with it, and use it to air our a 'fridge) if someone had success with acne by using toothpaste they were just that. Lucky.
I urge you to use caution and know many people also get burned and their acne or blemish winds up with a scar.
Find an acne regime and use it twice a day.
Find an exfoliant twice a week and once a week a deep cleaning mask. Try a hot compress, repeat - it does more then toothpaste.

I'm not a fan of using toothpaste on pimples. Most toothpastes have mint which irritates my skin.
Desert Essence's blemish stick w/ tea tree oil is the best spot treatment I've found.
Here are some alternative home remedies:
You can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes & rinse off w/ cool water.
Mix half a teaspoon of crushed uncoated aspirin tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel to use as a mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes & rinse off w/ cool water.
Milk of Magnesia - apply in thin layer where needed & allow to dry 5-10 mins. Will absorb oil & tighten pores. Can be used as a spot treatment too.
Soothing Yogurt Mask
1/3 cup plain whole milk yogurt (loosens old skin cells)
1-2 tsp. honey (anti-bacterial, moisturizes)
2 tblsp. oatmeal (scrubbing action)
Mix ingredients & apply to face. Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.

None. Use saline eye drops instead. It works to shrink pimples and dry them out.

get colgate, not the gel but the white paste. the basic kind. But it really doesn't work THAT well, you're better off getting a acne clearing face masque (proactive, biore, neutrogena, oil of olay) and dabbing it on for spot treatments. dries em up much better.

the toothpaste with mint flavor in it.Because it's the mint that helps the pimple to dry out.
