Why is it forbidden / taboo to depict a full-representation of a skeleton in China? And is it still forbidden today?

I read about it in a travel magazine article.

yeah, They definitely frown on the skeleton in art and have even extended this to Video games.
Chinese regulations require that skeletons not appear in the art of Magic cards distributed there. Hence, many illustrations are touched up or re-commissioned for a set's Chinese printings.
Yet there are many web sites that sell skeletons in china.
