There are lots of Christians who do not believe in Hell, not in the "traditional" sense. It was a preacher on television who was discussing that very issue, and supporting it with the Bible that made me question everything I had learned up to that point. Changed my life.
God does not plan eternal torment for anybody - that would be very un-Godly. It is only the twisted minds of men that could invent such a place.

You are proud of your religious but not to understand your religious is a superinsitution. A minister is not a christian does not mean he cannot does a good job.
The christian minister doubt to know there is a hell to punish sinners. After punishment will they be a holly man? What do you think about the hell? What is a heaven? What do you want? You might not answer my questions but think about it?

I'm a Christian and I dont believe in hell. The concept of hell came to be as the result of a mistranslation. The Greek word "gehenna" was the translation from the Hebrew word "gueh hin-nom" (Valley of Hinnon). It was mistranslated as hell the truth is that the Hebrew word was used in regard to the trash dump-site. The 1800's doctrine of hell that the church adopted and we all know today is based on Dante's "The Divine Comedy".

what do you mean, "never seen the day?" . . . there is always a cult of Christianity that denounces 'something' important to the REAL faith, called Christianity.
Jesus spoke more about hell than he did Heaven . . . Christianity is based on Jesus so you do the math . . .
two points for the pretenders . . .

So in other words, if I called myself an atheist and decided that I believe there is a god then that could mean I'm still an atheist, just a different denomination. Thanks for the points.

Then that minister is not a Christian.
The scriptures warn us of false professors and false teachers like Joseph Smith, and Muhammad, who both listened to an angel and began a faith that was based on half-truths and innuendo. .

During the time I spent as a moderate Christian, I didn't believe in hell.
Of course, I became an atheist soon after that.

God asks us to believe the Bible in it's entirety, by faith, and follow it because it's his word. The Bible talks about Hell and even gives a rather graphic description of the conditions there. I don't know how one can be a Christian and not believe all of God's word.
