texas rigged on a offset gamagotsu hook with no weight. let it sink and fish very slowly. for clearer water lakes you will need to stick with the lighter more transparent colors like watermelon, watermelon red, smoke silver. consentrate on structure. docks, rocks, reeds, grass, hydrilla, etc.... let lure fall vertical around these structures. the bass will be lying in wait in these areas to ambush your senko.

Senko's are about the easiest bait to catch bass with, although some conditions are not for senko fishing, for example on a real windy day they don't sink that good you have to try something else, a spinnerbait or rattle trap usually works good, On the other hand when it's flat as a pancake and really hot, just let it settle down to the bottom and usually they will take it, on some lakes or rivers if the senko don't get all the way through the weeds or to the bottom you won't catch them. You can texas rig them also, this works good around docks or in weed pockets it will fall through the cover a little easier. I would suggest using the black with blue flake or green pumkin. The weather could have been the problem you didn't catch them with the senko, also depending where your at the fish may have shut down. go back in a week or two and try it. They do work well and their has been alot of money won using the senko in tournaments. keep trying it will work. If you have any more questions about the senko feel free to write, I'll be out of town starting Thursday at a tournament but will respond back Sunday evening or Monday afternoon. Good Luck

Lures such as Senkos or Yum Dingers seem to work great. For a lure that has no action they are very effective at times. You might need to try a different color. Green pumpkin works great in the lakes around here. Also try fishing them SLOW> They seem to work best that way.

Senkos? No one can catch fish every time, and no lure will work all the time either, but Senkos are good stuff... no complaints here.
Edited to add.......
Btw, my first bass was caught on a senko, just a bit of coincidence...

Senkos/yum dinger
Texas rig these weightless with a size 3/0 offset EWG (extra wide gap) hook and throw them in 6+ feet of water. Just throw them out, let it sink. Every now and then lift the rod tip and/or give a sudden jerk to trigger the bite.
here is a websitle for you
