Just to be certain, this is my fiancee's account and I'm stealing it to get some advice. =)
Anywaysss, my boyfriend and I are getting married, and I'm having trouble picking out colors for the wedding. We're getting married in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens while the cherry blossoms are blooming, so needless to say, there will be a LOT of pink! We really liked the cherry blossoms theme, so we're incorporating it into our wedding. But I don't know what to use with it. I was thinking blue, but that's too "baby shower-ish" in my opinion. And many people have said pink and brown, or pink and chocolate, but that's just not me.
So, can anyone help me out? I want a main color, with a light pink as an accent. Thanks in advance! o^-^o

I do love the chocolate and pink idea. But if that isn't you then a burgandy would be really pretty. Or even black, or a pale yellow.

How about a deeper shade of pink, such as a magenta accented with light pink or a burgundy or maroon with light pink accents. Or vice versa. The pink be the main color with the darker accents. Good luck and congrats.

Oooh, I like the idea above of pink with sage or leaf green. I would add in champagne to that.
Since there will be lots of pink and presumably green in the gardens, if you want to be bold you could contrast the pink it with a rich indigo. If you have a nice deep blue it will really "pop" with the pink without losing the delicacy of the flowers and environment.

There are lots of directions you could go. For instance, sage green could be pretty, but so could lavendar, yellow, khaki or aqua. A soft, silvery grey could also be lovely.
Or you could just go with pink and white. It's soft, pretty, and romantic. You don't have to have a third color unless you'd like to.
One thing you might consider would be a deeper shade of pink as your main color. That might be pretty and unexpected.

How about a nice, little bit darker then, pastel green with chocolate and pink accents. If the landscape already has a lot of pink in it, then use it as an accent rather then one of your main colors.

A light shade of green would look really good with the pink. The chocolate goes really well with pink but you don't like it. Yellow would look good with pink too, but I wouldn't use it unless all of your girls look good in the color.

Wow that sounds really amazing. I love cherry blossems. I think you should choose a bold color to really show off the soft oink around you. Maybe a red or even a violet. Anything deep and intesnse will make both colors really pop.

Maybe a light green and brown to match the other parts of the trees. Earthy colors. I think that would be very pretty.
Good Luck!

Since there are many variations of pink such as rose, mauve, there lilac, you can also do variations of yellow, peach, cream and peach, lilac and pick, violet and pink, purple and pink, cream colors and pink.
I hope this helps
