Yes. If you had an agreement to pay them monthly payments and you miss one, then you are in breach of the agreement. Therefore, they do not have to accept any more payments from you.

I'm surprised that they will not, because usually they just want to get the money however they can.

Since you have missed a payment, don't be surprised if you get a nasty letter in the mail requesting that you pay the full amount immediately.

They could refuse a payment if it wasn't payment in full. That doesn't mean they would, but they can.

Most don't b/c they are happy to get a payment at all...but they do have that option
