Is it like Mikalya? or Mick-ella? My sister's having a baby, and she likes that name, but we're not sure how it's pronounced.

I personally like pronouncing it Mick-ella. It sounds more original.

The i is a short vowel.
However, some people may pronounce it like the boy's name with a la at the end. BUT usually its pronounced the above way.
