Bring home all those diamond flyers for the different places and leave them in the potty, we men do our best reading in there.

And this ring will do what for him? You're still both very young and haven't experience anything that life has to offer outside each other since you were 16. This guy may get the hint that you want to tie him up and away from the rest of the world way to soon. If he's not offering you a ring, maybe it's not on his "list of things to do" anytime soon. If you think your biological clock is running out or if all of your girlfriends have already worn the big white dress and you want one, maybe it's time for you to find a guy who's ready to settle with you.

Talk to him about marriage. You don't need to drop hints. If you've been together for that long you guys can discuss the next step. Let him know you aren't really ready to tie the knot but you want to be 100% sure that when you are ready, you guys can do it.

If he needs hints then HE isn't ready! There's two of you in the relationship. If he loves you and wants commitment he will ask to marry you when he is ready.

Pressure him into it, and it's not his decision. That surely makes it worthless and you might just as well buy your own ring!

And if you're happy together what difference will a ring actually make?

Well, 3 years seems long enough...but its your age that is the problem...Hell, you're 19...He's 21...You do realize that once you get married, there will be lots of bills to worry about...and don't even think about kids until you know you are financially stable...

ask him out for a romantic dinner downtown. during dinner stare him in the eyes, tell him what your about to say is important and its the reason you asked him out tonight. tell him that you love him and you hope that you two will always be together. go home and give him the best time of his life.

you should wait atleast until youve been living together for two years. atleast thats what i think.

You've been together 3 years and you're still hinting??? At some point you're going to have to learn to actually talk to each other.

If you are not ready to get marriage then you shouldn't want to get engaged.
