Unfortunately we're here to put up with moaning women and to answer ridiculous questions like this one.
Given the choice, men would much prefer to watch football or go down the pub. That would be our ideal purpose, but alas this Earth is cursed.

Answer: To smack all the sexist women out there who hate men so much for no apparent reason.
I have no love for bigoted man-haters.
I am not saying all men are great, but I am a man and am insulted every single time women make blanket observations about all men.
Did it ever occur to you that perhaps it is your personality that attracts the bad element? If you held yourself to a higher standard or didn't give sex away to strangers then men would have to actually treat you with respect?
Or perhaps you are waiting for Leonardo Di Caprio and can't stand to date average men?
Half of the reason many men are jerks is because women let them act this way. If they were single for over a year or so, and never got what they wanted, they would have to start treating women with respect.
Women have all the power. Most of you can hold out longer than we can when it comes to abstaining from sex. So that is how you can control men.

Men are unique beings. They are generally logical and rational thinkers who on any day of the month will tackle issues sensibly and constructively.
Many of the worlds great engineers have been men. Just think of the things we would not have today if it wasn't for men. TV's, phones, and of course our beloved internet, developed by the american military (the men) without whic I would not be writing the response.

To offer emotional support and unconditional love for the ones we choose are special enough to share there own personal thoughts and feelings with us.
We find our purpose in those that respond with kinds words and thoughts of friendship.
If that thought is not working for you, how about this one... we are put here to unclog the toilet, shovel the driveway, bury the dog when he dies and back up the boat in the water. Does that one work for you?
