Thanks for all your answers especially the yanks that have obviously got their heads still stuck up there a..s h...es.most of them cops were bullied at school so they must be hard now.

If you wore your glasses properly you would notice that i didnt say i was driving reckless, and no you cops arnt allowed to speed.
Yes we do need them and yes i would have to use them, but most times they dont turn up for people anyway, apparantly there to busy (and before you say do gooders, they are dealing with a.. h....s like me).
But then again i dont break laws( ha ha tough)

Ive had a really good day today so this is not a rant, its just you ignorant law breaking police that think there gods.

So all you do gooders get on your keyboard and start slagging this one off, or as i said keep looking out your windows.

Any one who agrees im glad to hear it.

As i said who the f... do they think they are.Treat us with respect or go back to being bullied at school..

Night all

HUH? Damn "PART 2" I hate these Summer Sequels. You have to know what the heck happen in the first Movie.
Did Hammertime fornicate himself with a hammer? Or did the hammer nailed him? What did the good policeman do to him?

I read this sequel and I had absolutely no clue what was going on. 1 star out of 5. Rated R for retarded

Other reviewers:

Thumbs down for poor directing, poor grammer, 3 minutes of no action, nothing but melodrama. - Ebert & Roper

The best feel dumb reading this question of the summer - Gene Shalot

You'll read, you'll laugh, you'll want your wasted time back - New York Times

You said you weren't ranting and I take that on board, as such I ask you read this and not dismiss it out of hand.
The Police are made up of the community, we are not perfect.
I get sworn at everyday, I do not swear back, never have done and never will, I deal with high adrenaline dangerous situations daily, I still do not swear. That being said it is not easy and I would ask you to look if you would be so restrained.

I attended a job the other day where an old lady was robbed in her house, policy says because it was over I was told I could not use blue lights, would you want me to speed then, if it was your grandmother? Of course I couldn't though.

And as for stopping cars, this is the vehicle most criminals use, some of the best jobs come from stopchecks on uninsured/untaxed cars. If 1 in 20 reveals something, I apologise to the 19, but I believe it worth it.

Not gonna change your minds and many raise valid points, but I believe all sides should be on YA.
Sure we'll talk again, Regards

To begin with i am ex Policeman (20yrs) And one reason i resigned was the the quality of people they began to recruit. I as a kid always had total respect for the Police and also total fear. Now i have nothing but total disrespect for our so called law enforcers. It is full of people that would never have stood a chance getting into the Police 20 or more years ago. Saying that that it is the same as all walks of life, there are still good police officers out there but to my knowledge there are more idiots that just like wearing a uniform and driving a police car with fancy lights and horns.
In my view it all started going wrong when they lifted certain restrictions on what standards a Police Officer has to attain.

Plain and simple, if you think you can do better then join the specials and show us. If you dont then you cant and you are not in a position to criticize. As for the old joke about telling the Police that you have shot someone unless you are in the met's area surrounded by deicated firearms trained officer then you will get a slower response than normal because we dont routinely carry guns or shoot people and in Britain firearms offences are dealt with slowly, carefully and strategically..

I'm glad you got that off your chest. Do I detect just a wee bit of animosity towards the police? Did you by some chance have a negative contact with the police? You talk about respect, well good for you. How about showing a little bit.

when ever a person is addressing a question regarding law enforcement please keep in mind that there are almost 800,000 law enforcement officers in America. when you think that after thousands of reports every year regarding the performance of officers only about 300 warrent further investigation. note this is not saying that the officer did something wrong but that the case might have substance and gets pushed into internal investigations. of these less then 100 are ruled against the officer. that is less then 1 percent every year.

Good night!

I'm off to check your last Q..................

Have checked it out and have a story to tell that I read in a newspaper....

An elderly guy rang the police to say that there was someone in his shed nicking his stuff, he dialled 999 and was told that there was no one available for about 45 minutes, scandalous. The gent left it 5 minutes and rang again telling the 999 operator he'd shot the thief. Within seconds he was surrounded by cops, armed units and all only to find the thief locked in the shed. The cheesed off copper said to the guy "I thought you said you'd shot him" to which the guy replied "I thought you said there was no one available!"

Link to the origional question please?

edit: Cops are just like any other profession. There are good ones and bad ones. What If i started a question like "What gives busdrivers the right" and ranted about ALL busdrivers being a certain way, it would be pretty rediculous wouldn't it?

edit@vasgag: That may be so, but every profession is letting more and more ignorant people in. It's because as a people we are becoming dumber on average.

Remember, and this is a proven fact, applicants who score too high in the intelligence portion of the test are rejected.

A case in Connecticut in the late 90s brought it up to the light. A reject filed a lawsuit because he was rejected solely on the basis that his IQ scored too high.

Tie the loose ends...
