Only answer the questions they ask. Volunteer no information.
This is good advice in any situation such as military inspections (admin types). I've been through many inspections and a couple or 3 lie detector tests. If they ask you a question, be truthful. If they don't ask the question, don't say anything. DO NOT GET CHATTY. Keep your answers brief and to the point. Do not embellish or add what was not asked about. Answer honestly. They might already know the answer and want to see what you'll say.

To join the Air Force you don't need everything paid off. it just needs to be current, or you will have to do a waiver and that will limit your job choices. It is best to make everything current because if you lie about it and obtain a job with a security clearance they will run your credit and find out anyway. about the drinking, well if you don't tell them you drank, you didn't drink. end of story

It's very important that your story is the same every time they ask. If you lie about the underage drinking thing, then 2 years down the road if they ask you again, you better stick to that same story. They talked to some of my old neighbors and bosses, also.

As far as the credit card, that's nothing. The people they were holding up for that owed at least $10,000.

If you are joining the AF, please remember the Core Values: Integrity First, Service before Self, and Excellence in All You Do. Would lying for a security clearance interview uphold the Core Values??

Just something to think about....

whatever the question is tell them the truth: you want to join because you are a loser and there is no hope in your life to do anything else. That honesty will put you in regardless of anything else. They know that that is the only truthfull answer, so dont pretend. ok?

View the answers to your other similar questions. If you really need to come on here and ask if you should lie to enlist, you probably do not need to join the military.

They'll run a credit check so they'll know about the bills.

Tell the truth, always.
