I would say, first decide to do something minimal or extreme and go from there.
If minimal, you may want to stay in the US. If extreme, you may want to go to a different country (one that you love, or that just interests you, or where you feel you could live a more exciting life.)
No matter what you choose, think of things that would appeal to you in a place you want to go to (i.e. if your favorite thing to do go to sporting events pick a big city that would have lots of that, or if, say, you wanted to try a specific new career like acting look into a place like CA that would be more likely to allow for that) then start looking at the job ads for a city or country that appeals to you and finding out more about the state, country, city, etc. Form a plan, (housing, job, transportation, moving,) and then actually do it!
Good luck!

You need Alaska my friend! Tons of construction jobs with high pay, lots of hunting and fishing, great outdoors opportunities, and the chance to experience true wilderness. There are also lots of folks from Wisconsin and Minnesota up here to, you'd feel right at home. Email me if you want to hear me rant some more about how great it is!

Do a classified search for The Dallas Morning News. Construction in the Dallas/Ft Worth area is booming as it is elsewhere in Texas.

Man, the world is basically your oyster.
Define what it is you want to do first.
Then do it.
