I'm great when it comes to being interviewed. However, I am being interviewed for a different position in the same establishment that I currently work for. I have a couple of vacations planned for this year, and the department that I currently work for already knows about them. Should I mention this to my interviewer at the interview, or is it best to wait for them to offer the job to me? which sounds better and more professional?

Wait until you are offered the job before you mention the vacations...1st you don't want to seem presumptuous 2nd you don't want to put yourself out of the running before you are even in the race.

Be professional and say I would love this job by my family and I have these vacations planned...will this be a problem if I accept the job.

It is vastly more professional to wait for them to offer you the job first. By explaining your vacation plans to them before the offer, it sounds like you want them to make exceptions for you, and that you already know you have the job. Wait until the offer is made.

Believe me they already know what your vacation plans are, that is part of being management. No do not bring it up, worry only about the promotion, Good luck
