I need to paint the base boards and the walls in my living room. What should I paint first? Any tips would help also!

Due to the force of gravity, everything falls down. Paint the highest parts first and work your way down.

Personally, I would do the walls first in case some paint from the walls drips or splatters down onto the baseboards. Then when the wall is dry, tape it off and do the baseboards :) Happy painting!

First paint the walls then the baseboards because the paint from the roller might splash on the baseboards. Then when your walls are dry ,use painter's tape to separate the wall from the baseboard this will save you from repainting the wall if you are not going straight!

I would paint the baseboards frist. Let them dry for at least a day or so, then tape them off with painters tape and paint the walls. Good Luck!

Trim should always be done last. Also, once you are done painting, there is painter caulk you can use to fill in any dents or nail holes in your trim... it works wonderful

Ceiling first, than walls than baseboards and trim.
