Now this is not because he is the points leader but if you notice at daytona he was outside the top ten most of the race but when the closing laps came he was up front and fighting for the lead and that has happend all year

Alright I will have to give you an unbiased opinion.Yes he is the best of 07 so far.

He's one of the best drivers of all times. Not just this year. I mean he has 4 wins, and then he has only finished outside the top 10, four times, with one of those times being the only time he is finished outside the top 15 all season. That was when he finished 41st at Charlotte during the Coca Cola 600 due to Tony Raines taking him out during the beginning of the race, and he was so tore up he couldn't recover. Even without his crew chief and the points suspension he is still on a role and has tons and tons of momentum and has a nice points lead. Then to top it all off he is a father of Ella Sofia who is only 20 days old, and yet he is still racing hard and doing well. He was saving the best for the last laps of the track, you dont show everyone everything you have in your hand early on or use up all your stuff because then you will have nothing left so he was saving stuff for the end so he could sprint to the finish and win possibly which he had a very good chance of doing.

Up to this point yes, Letarte and Gordon have been incredible this year together. But it doesnt hurt when you have JJ and Knaus next door and can get whatever info you need from them, plus pretty much unlimited resources.
You have to give credit where it is due and they have got it together. It wasnt too long ago when Gordon hated every downforce track, because of his consistently bad cars the last couple years. But definately the best driver of 07 this year.
And this is coming from a Kenseth fan.

As of right now he's the best driver of 07. How can you NOT base it on points? In 18 races he's only finished out of the top 10 four times this year, having 12 top 5 finishes and 16 top10 finishes. 4 being wins! By the numbers, he is, as of now, the best driver in 07.

I think that Denny Hamlin has been the best driver this year. I know he is second best, when you look at the points. He would probably have the same amount of wins as Jeff has, had he not had such bad luck. His crew members cost him a win, twice, when he had the best car. The speeding on pit row, caused another race to slip away. At the end of this season, Denny will be the champion, and all the talk of Gordon, will be forgotten.
Remember that Gordon got busted for cheating, once. How many times has he gotten away with it? If you are the "best" driver, then why is there a need to cheet?

Uh... no. It's not like he's the only one racing, or the only one out of 5 drivers. There are many other drivers who are talented. I personally think Stewart is better driver, but worst attitude.

considering he has more top 5s, top 10s, points, and tied for lead in wins, i'd say he's had a great year and we'll know if he was the best driver of 07 in november.

no he isnt the best driver and never will be.gordon just has good equipment to win races. gordon isnt the kind of a driver i like .if he quit racing wouldnt hurt my feelings none lol

He not only is driver of 07. I think he will be driver of all time if he drives another 5 or 6 years.

He is definitely the best this year, and has the best all around team, I thin this is going to be another JEFF championship year
