You really need to see a doctor, human bites can get VERY infected, VERY quickly.

Your camp isn't doing anything about it? That sucks. Maybe you should tell your parents.

As for the bite I'd make sure to disinfect it and keep it clean. Use soap and water or rubbing alcohol to clean it. Then apply Neosporin or Betadine while you're at home (or just doing something chill). When you go to camp I'd just make sure to keep it covered so no dirt or dust gets into it.

If it's not bleeding it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

First of all, be thankful you are not autistic and cut out the name calling.

Report the incident to the medical director at the camp, or better yet, have your parents contact the overall director of the camp.

If the skin was broken, you should keep it clean and be sure you have your tetanus up to date. If the skin was not broken, it should subside on its own.

Did you call your parents? I understand the other child is disabled and cannot control some of his/her actions. But if they are prone to violence someone should talk to thier parents if that is the right enviroment for them. You cannot put the rest of the group in danger for the actions of one. There might be a day camp more suited to deal with the other child. Ask your parents to speak to the camp director.

Good Luck!

I am a nurse, and i recommend that you keep it away from water unless it is wiping it every day to keep the wound clean. Leave the wound open, even though it may embarress you while seen with it. Every night, put Neosporin on it and go to sleep with it, don't worry about it rubbing off on your blanket, it won't. Do what I say for a couple weeks and it should heal!

My best guess would just be to ice it for soreness...If it hurts, check for small puncture wounds; if there are no puncture wounds, use some maybe hand sanitizer for the cooling effect.

As long as it didn't break the skin you should be fine. It will be like a bruise. Put so ice on it . Good luck
