Are there any groups promoting tolerance and acceptance between believers and nonbelievers. Atheists arent bad people. Some of the greatest people in the bible started off as nonbelievers. And some of the greatest minds in philosophy and art and science have been atheists Same is true for theists. Some of the most evil people in history have claimed to be obeying the call of a religion. And some of the most evil actions done have been by atheist forcing people to not have a religion.

We all are humans

Evil actions of atheist:

Look at any communist, socialist, or dictorship regime and you will find mass murders done in the name of the state or the leader (all atheistic agendas not having anything thing to do with a god)

there are but they kind of make me wish to laugh, they are just rather ridiculous, religeon will always divide us and divided we fall, it cannot be any other way, the original gnostics were killed off and that spelled doom for christianity- if you have to kill the founders of a religeon to alter it and make it what you want it to be then you cant expect to be friends with "gentiles" per say of any kind atheists, gnostics whatever. The pope says anyone who is not catholic goes to hell, the lutherans only lutherans, the methodists only you get the point. why would we want to accept a "believer" they are not any different than us they just think they know it all and that it is their right to look down on us the dirty dirt trodden peoples of the world who are not christian, has it ever occured to any christian that the jews were the owners per say of the old testament- you stole it and then you ground them into the ground and how many times have they been oppressed since then by christians? God would not do that to his chosen people that is what proves that I am not going to hell- see if christianity is not real then previous you had tree gods and sun gods etc and well people are just starting to get into them again so if there was a hell that would mean 2000 years of people went to hell which no truly just creature would do for the crime of not knowing. that is why these two groups will never get along. They both think eachother is crazier than eden

Neo, The Chinese occupation of Tibet, in where the Chinese government imprisoned Buddhist monks and encouraged communism. Atheist forcing a non-belief. Only one I know about. Myself. I don't really care about religion. I judge on who not what. But I do expect to have equality and respect as a person.

Unfortunately I don't know of any groups. I am personally a Christian and many of my relatives and friends are atheists. I do not push my religion on them and I truly enjoy when we sit down and discuss our beliefs in everything from politics, science to religion. The problem is when you allow your beliefs to control you and disregard anyone who has another opinion. I find it amusing when theists and atheists alike call each other blatant names that are from stereotypical mindsets. You cant pigeon hole each other and that is one of the true problems we believe our own stereotypes about the other group and leads to closed minded individuals.

I'm a Christian, and I have no problem with atheists or other religions, so long as they are not forcing their beliefs on me. I try to respect them by doing the same. I'm always open to friendly debate, but in the end, you are right. We're all humans. I think everyone should believe what they believe, but respect others' rights to believe what they believe. Peace!

I love my Atheist hubby
and all my Atheist friends
most Atheists I know have better morals than many Theists I know
there is good and bad in all groups
so no one group should be tarred as bad because of the actions of a few
although I dont quite agree with your last statement
I dont know any Atheist who has done any harm to anyone to try and get them not to believe

Yes... we all are humans...
Love would be found IF both sides do not bash the other's beliefs...
To respect eachother we need to be open- minded and talk and argue with others respectfully...

Peace!

my wife is a theist but is losing faith daily when she looks at the world with increasing objectivity. I dont try to change her to atheism. She is simply moving in this direction. I went to catholic church with her. I never complained it made her happy to do it and I love to see her smile. We are just happy and content together.
