Does anyone know why a dog will get dry skin and looks like dandruff?It's not because she get's too many baths.And what can i do?

Dogs get dry skin from many things. If u live where it is dry that will do it. Also the diet you feed your dog. To help w/ dry skin do not give your dog a bath b/c that will just dri it out even more. Try putting a little veggie oil in your dogs food. A couple teaspoons or more or less depending on the size of your dog. My neighbor put a little raw egg in her dogs food but I dont know if that is good for them or not. Also, brush your dog to get rid of the dead and dry skin and help spread the coats natural oils. i think there might even be food u can feed your dog so I would go look around at a pet store.Good Luck! :)

Same reason that people get dry skin. My old dog used to get it and the vet suggested using a small amount of lotion on the dog to hydrate the skin - something natural without dyes and perfumes

I give my dog vitamins for his dry skin. I got them from the vet. I also bathe him with oatmeal shampoo. Give it a shot!

call your vet or local pets store and ask around...or when you do give her a bath make sure your shampoo isnt too strong or something

Try adding some fish oil to her diet.
