No offense, but i expect atheist to put down religion, but why do I always see Christians rant and try to stir up atheist? I believe Jesus said turn the other cheek,go out and make disciples and be a light to the world! I tried so long to come up with reasons atheist could be wrong, but I stopped because God tells us to live by faith, not by sight. I was so worried with debating others of how my religion was right and there views where wrong that I forgot to realize that God will be the only one I have to answer to. Jesus told us to go out and Teach his word not debate, argue, and put down others who think differently. Are 2nd greatest commandment is to love thy neighbor as thyself, but you would never be able to tell by some of the post I read on here by "Christians".

Quoting scripture and all is one thing, but criticizing, belittling, and blasting someone for there beliefs is another and unchristian like.

This does not apply to all Christians because some are very wonderful, but

How do you expect people to convert to Christianity when your putting them down and joking about there beliefs?

but why are we as Christians so eager to put them down? God said set yourself away from the world and worldly things. Just because others out down us doesn't mean we have the same right to critisize and blast others.

I see exactly where you are coming from. Just as much as some atheist get offended often about Christian beliefs being brought to light, there are some Christians who get offended when their beliefs are made out to be a joke... Neither is right. However, as Christians we should be the example of Christ and show love no matter what the circumstance!

I know I pay attention to the horrible things some atheists post but I should be aware of the horrible things Christians post. Either way, it is not right. I do not post mean, vicious things to atheists. I have met some through this site that are very nice indeed. It is just a few trolls out there in both camps that make BOTH of us look bad. I will read the Christian comments if you promise to read the atheist comments for 1 day on this site. I think we will both find out that it is pretty even on both sides.

Well I only have a problem with Atheists who are impolite and who make fun of believers as well, insulting and insulting.

But for the true Atheists who do not believe based on the reasoning and fact of the religions today, added the fact of being indoctrinated into the world as much as those in particular religions and sects. For those I have nothing but respect.

This is the love and mercy shown by the Creator, It is said "Any blaspheming of Jesus or God will be forgiven, but blasphemy of the Holly Spirit will not be forgiven" So erroneous Christians, (in all denominations) and Muslims, fail to show the true path, causing disbelieve in God and Jesus, and so those satan posing as God many times.

This is what brings forgiveness to many Atheists and Agnostics because, if is really found love in their hearts then what has been wrong is not them, but the world outside them, polluted by satan's tricks of separation.

He satan, is the one who seems to blaspheme the Holly Spirit, and will not be forgiven. Because he is an impostor and a liar causing many to be lost in the huge beast created by him with help from the men of perdition who only love material things and power. (Political, religious, ideological and military)

How come so many Atheists blame religion for ALL the world's troubles?
Do you think the world would be better off without religion? What system of standards would you recommend?
Life is unimportant without purpose and live bodies are no more of value than dead ones if there is no divine source of life.
Atheists that claim Christians are the source of evil are beneath contempt.
Atheists that have not come to recognize the importance of religion are just another source of trouble.
Religious bigots are just as bad.

Christians hate atheists.

I know this very well, as I used to be one of them. I remember exactly how I felt when I found out someone was an atheist. The atheist's very existence is an insult to a Christian.

Atheists, who have altruism as their intent, should not "put down" religions either, unless such a religion is actually causing harm/suffering, when and ONLY when it's occuring and done w/ COMPASSION. Just my 2 cents.

I assume you're talking about Christians like the one who just became the 12,000th one to ask "Why do atheists come to this forum?".
Those Christians are desperately trying to deny the fact that they've chosen a life devoted to a children's fantasy. We remind them of that fact, so they lash out against us.

Atheists are the voice of reason in a sea of delusion. Of course Christians hate us. We represent the truth that topples their faith.

What they don't realize, and what I'm here to show them, is that life goes on without God. There is nothing to be afraid of. Come into the light, Carol Anne.
