A few pounds of concrete will keep the dead body at the bottom of the lake, a few pounds of cotton wool will not. So on this occasion I’d say the concrete is heavier.

If they both weigh a pound then each is as heavy as the other. Naturally, however, the concrete is denser so will take up much less volume.

even though they weigh exactly the same it takes alot more cotton wool to match a little piece of concrete.

well a pound of cotton weighs a pound... where as the pound of concrete weighs a pound... hmmm
