Please spay her. There are millions of cats euthanized in shelters every year simply because there aren't enough homes for all of them. It will also decrease your cats risk of mammary tumors and elminate the risk of ovarian cancer, pyometras, and complications associated with pregnancy and delivery.

I think you should get her spayed and not let her have anymore. The more liters they have, I believe it is harder on their bodies.
As far as Erin and the others bashing you for letting your cat have kittens, don't listen to people such as that. As long as you find them GOOD homes or you keep them yourself and they are ll well taken care of, it is nobodies business. Yes, there are a bunch of homeless cats and other animals, but you did not do that by letting your cat have kittens. Some of these people are very rude and insensitive.
I am so sorry that you and your baby had to have an experience losing babies like that. That is why I would spayed her now and you can prevent either of you from having to go through it all over again.
Good Luck!

Hi
well the world doesnt really need any more cats!!! There are too many homeless ones.
Some cats and dogs have troubles with their first litters as they don't know what to do. Sometimes on the second try they are much better. Although some cats are just not cut out to be parents and never get it right. Cats tend to be selfish like when they only come to you when they want you not the other way around and that can rub off on the kittens

She'll get over it and move on pretty soon. They do that when they don't have their kittens, whether it's through death or adoption. She may call them for a couple of weeks, but in time she'll forget. She won't grieve to the point that she's sick or anything.
Call your vet and ask when would be the best time to have her spayed. They'll probably suggest waiting a month or so, but maybe not. I wouldn't let her have another litter. It just means more cats to place in homes.

Cats should be spayed or neutered. Pets should not be bred as there is an excess of unwated cats and kittens already, and domstic cats should never be bred as there is already so many and only experienced breeders should be adding to the cat populations of purebreds since they know how to properly choose cats to breed based on temperment and desired traits. Those who do breed and somehow give away or sell the kittens are doing a disservice to all the cats/kittens in shelters that desperately need homes.
You should get your cat spayed immediately. Being spayed also helps your cat health wise as it prevents ovarian and uterine cancers.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. But I must agree. There are tons and tons of cats, dogs, rabbits, and other animals out there that don't have homes. Please, Spay your cat. If you were looking forward to having a kitten, go adopt one. Don't get it from a breeder. We must do our part to shut breeders down.

my cat had kittens last year, and they all died too....her milk dried up before she gave birth. i think maybe she was overdue. we didnt find out her milk was gone until it was too late. we were so excited that she had them, but it was like she was trying to tell us that something was wrong. she would bring them to us, and would give them back to her. she would even carry them to our bedroom, and we brought some kitten milk for them, but they wouldn't accept it....i was so tore up about it...because i held them, and tried to feed them, but they wouldn't take it. she would lay down beside me while i tried, and she would look up at me with the sad look. we got her fixed after that, because i dont know if she was too young when she got pregnant or what. just didn't want to put her through that anymore.
