I've been using DVD Shrink with Nero to burn DVD's for a long time, always works wonderful.
But yesterday I downloaded an AVI DVD Rip, watched it on my computer and everything was perfect quality and sound.
I used Nero Vision Express [for the first time] to transcode the file from AVI to VOB so that it would burn to my DVD+R disc, and it DID.

However- a few problems occured:

A] there was a small layer at the bottom of the picture that was fuzzy the entire movie.
B] the audio was out of sync with the picture by about 1/2 of a second the entire movie.
C] the "skip forward a scene" and "rewind back a scene" options didnt work, as if the movie was all one big scene.

do you know what went wrong??

best answer WILL get the best answer, thanks.

I have not had that exact problem, but I have had problems burning some AVI files with NeroVision. The problem seems to be related to codecs. I tried a number of codec packages but was unable to find one that was perfect for my needs. I eventually switched to Roxio MyDVD which has less options than Nero, but burns a perfectly viewable DVD every time.
